Job summary
An exciting
opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated,
flexible individual to join our infection prevention and control (IPC) team.
The
post holder will support the team with data management and lead and support
quality improvement projects, delivering the transformation required in
Infection, Prevention and Control services in line with NHSE/I national,
regional and other IPC priorities. You
will develop, deliver and monitor robust project management plans ensuring full
engagement of all partners and incorporating best practice from regional and
national partners. You will need to have proven leadership and management
qualities.
The
successful applicant will be required to work autonomously and as part of the
team and in partnership healthcare and social care providers across Kent and
Medway, including NHS England, UK Health Security Agency and Kent and Medway local authorities.You will require the ability to work in a dynamic, flexible and organised manner, delivering a highly visible and responsive service across the K&M system,

Main duties of the job
The
primary duty of the postholder is to work within the ICB IPC team analysing data
and producing reports, whilst responsible for leading various quality
improvement projects.
To
lead and coordinate data management and a variety of projects which support the
provision of well-coordinated, high quality and equitable services. Working collaboratively
with stakeholders to develop, manage and deliver projects, ensuring timely completion.
You will develop working relationships with other Nursing and Quality functions within the ICB and external partners, The individual will be required to work closely with internal and external partners to manage and deliver projects, ensuring completion of relevant project documentations.
Applicants should have substantial experience in IT, data and project management. All applicants will hold a first level degree or diploma and relevant certification required in these speciality areas. You should demonstrate a sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerBi, project management and IT skills, and are prepared to adapt to new ways of working, travel across partner organisations.
The post holder will be required to operate
flexibly within the ICB IPC team as well as the nursing and quality directorate
to ensure wider engagement and promotion of partnership working. When necessary, present data and project
outputs at various meetings.

All new starters with the ICB
will be subject to a probationary period which is dependent on the length of
contract. The probationary period works alongside the induction process to help
create a positive and supportive working environment allowing new starters to
learn the key elements of the role within a reasonable & realistic
timescale.

and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
and agreed outcomes of projects.
Supporting the development
of new contract specifications and / or contract variations through
collaborating and working with Providers, Contracts team, Quality team, Clinical
Leads, Senior Managers, and other stakeholders.
To actively promote
quality improvement in the delivery of projects and services and work with
stakeholders to reduce health inequalities for patients.
To ensure that approaches
used by the project team are informed by national and best practice in health
and social care.
To support the Kent and
Medway Infection
Prevention and Control to work in partnership with the
Local Authority, Providers/Trusts, other commissioners, and stakeholders
(including NHS England) to ensure seamless pathways of care for patients.
To support the research
and review of new and emerging evidence-based practice, benchmarking, national
policy, legislation, and guidance in order to advise the ICB and project
stakeholders on how national initiatives can be addressed and implemented
locally.
To support and lead the
delivery of transformation projects in line with the NHS Long Term Plan
managing resources and providing subject matter expertise to ensure that
required outcomes are achieved.
To operate in a highly
political and sensitive environment.
