Hybrid working (combination of Home and Office)
Due to retirement of the current
postholder a exciting and rare opportunity has arisen in Kent & Medway to
play a lead role for the ICB in the operational and strategic leadership of All
Age Continuing Care (AACC) and Specialist Placements.
The All Age Continuing Care
service sits within NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) providing
All Age Continuing Care services across all localities of Kent & Medway.
Key aspects of the role
include the leadership and management of an inhouse team in North Kent of
approx. 68 professional clinical and administration staff delivering the
co-ordination of functions of Continuing Health Care Assessment, Funded Nursing
Care, Children's Continuing Care, MH Sec 117 and Neuro Rehab. This senior
leadership role additionally has responsibility for the commissioned AACC
service via South Central west CSU covering East and West of Kent.
Main duties of the job
This role will provide leadership and oversight of all aspects of the AACC Services across Kent and Medway.
The post holder advises on all aspects of service delivery, development, quality, clinical effectiveness, value for money and patient safety, supporting the Chief Nursing Officer to develop and implement a clear vision and strategic goals for continuous service development and improvement. Leading the programme for implementing a Kent and Medway wide Single AACC Service.
The All Age Continuing Care service sits within NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) providing All Age Continuing Care services to the North Localities of Medway, Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and Swale. Key aspects of the role include the leadership and management of a team of approx. 60 professional clinical and administration staff delivering the co-ordination of functions of Continuing Health Care Assessment, Funded Nursing Care, Children's Continuing Care, MH Sec 117 and Neuro Rehab.

- Experience of working in a complex and challenging environment and managing relationships with key stakeholders.
- Previously responsible for a budget, involved in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes.
- Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands which may include the ability to negotiate on difficult and very complex and detailed issues
Qualifications

- NMC Registration or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent.
- Membership of relevant professional body.
