Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

The Workforce & OD team in partnership with the Integrated Stroke Delivery Network (ISDN), are looking to recruit to a Stroke Workforce & OD Programme Manager for 1 year, on either a fixed term or secondment basis; the post is embedded in the Workforce & OD team, but will operate under a matrix management arrangement across Workforce and the ISDN, providing the postholder with a breadth of opportunity and support.

The role gives a great opportunity for exposure to system working, where the postholder can extend their network, get a greater understanding of health and care pathways and gain broad experience to support career progression.

We welcome applicants with relevant experience, recognising that many will not have worked in both the stroke and workforce fields. Support will be available from the workforce team and ISDN, to bridge any knowledge gaps.

Main duties of the job

Working with colleagues within the CCG (ICB from 1st July) and stakeholders across the system, the successful candidate will support the delivery of the Kent and Medway Stroke Transformation Programme, with a focus on reviewing, redesigning and improving clinical services across stroke patient pathways, through workforce interventions. These interventions will include workforce modelling across the stroke pathway, standardisation of knowledge and skills within the stroke workforce, introducing new roles and ways of working, identifying and implementing recruitment and retention strategies and leadership development.

As part of the wider Workforce & OD team, the postholder may also be required to provide support on other initiatives relating to workforce, alongside their stroke portfolio.
