An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Intelligence and Analytics team for a Senior Intelligence Analyst.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate to join us who is willing to go that extra mile and to be part of a successful and effective team, using data and visualisations to influence and improve health outcomes for the population of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent (SSOT).
As the journey begins in the implementation of an Integrated Care System (ICS) Data and Intelligence Strategy there will be opportunities for further development within the key strands, including:
Development of a data centric culture and workforce, particularly through the lens of Population Health Management (PHM)
Develop a unified data environment for all system partners
Support, improve and further develop governance arrangements across the ICS
Develop intuitive reporting and insight through Power BI and R programming
Opportunity to become part of a virtual ICS-wide intelligence function
This role is an excellent opportunity, with a large scope to understand the health care demand of our population, to make a difference to the way services are delivered, to improve patient outcomes, and all while improving technical skills.
The successful applicant will need to be pro-active, flexible, and responsive in their approach, combined with the resilience to deal with a demanding environment.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within the Directorate of Finance, Planning and Intelligence, providing support primarily to primary care portfolio within the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the ICS.
This role, working in conjunction other Intelligence Analysts within the Team, will provide high quality health intelligence and robust analysis to improve health outcomes for the population of SSOT, supporting the Planning Cycle, and leading on the delivery of analytical support to the ICB.
The post will take a lead on service transformation, strategic analysis (supporting the Head of Intelligence and Analytics) and portfolios. The post will also work closely to support the provision of a high quality analytical function across the ICB.
Close working with the ICB's clinical directors, leaders and member practices/localities is required as well as with the wider teams of the portfolios.
In line with ICB and system strategies and plans, particularly, Joint Forward Plans, Operational Plans, and transformation and the Financial Recovery Plan, the post holder will help to develop the ICB's business intelligence systems and processes, while ensuring a close working relationship with the Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit.
