Job summary
In this senior role the post holder will lead the development of the long-term people strategy for the ICB ensuring this reflects and integrates the strategies of all relevant partner organisations within the ICS.
The postholder will have responsibility for leading the strategic development of people, advising and supporting the leadership, defining and developing cultural ambition which will be required for success. Informing the approach around organisational design and developing ways of working, the postholder will also take a key role as a participant of the wider group of system HRDs / Directors of People to design, deliver and enable the System People Plan.
As a senior leader in the local health and care system, working collaboratively with System partners, the postholder, as a non-voting member of the unitary board, will make a significant contribution to achieving the key purpose of the ICB:

Main duties of the job
Taking accountability for devising and delivering a 5-year people plan for the ICB in conjunction with your boards, your partners across the ICB and your local community.
Leading a collective approach to Organisational Design within the ICB, supporting the ongoing development of the organisational structure including outlining Director portfolios, clarifying of core individual and team objectives and leading the approach to the recruitmentand retention processes to ensure the attraction and retention of talent.
Delivering on the future operating model design of the ICB from a workforce perspective, ensuring that any gaps between current knowledge, skills and capabilities and the future state are mitigated and that the team across the ICB are developed and supported.

Location Home based/hybrid working (most of posts).
Travel on occasions to a Hub location with at least 1 days notice
New starters are expected to collect IT equipment, from offices in Stoke-on-Trent, and if based at home are required to have appropriate desk/chair/ relevant equipment in compliance with DSE regulations
Posts at Band 8c and above, will take part in the On-call rota, flexible over 7 days, supporting the System Control Centre, with full training provided.
