The MSK Physiotherapy service provides outpatient MSK services across Kent. We operate within four teams coveringNorth Kent, Ashford, Canterbury and Thanet, South Kent Coast and, West Kent.
We are recruiting an MSK Physiotherapy Assistant for the West Kent team working between, Sevenoaks Hospital and, Tonbridge Cottage Hospital some travel to the Churchill Centre (Aylesford) will be required.
This role involves supporting our Physiotherapists to deliver programmes of care, both in a group setting and on a one-to-one basis to our patients. There may be an opportunity to assist with hydrotherapy provision, this post holder would thenbe expected to be comfortable working in the pool environment.You will also be responsible for non-clinical tasks such as ordering equipment, maintaining and cleaning equipment,administrative duties surrounding the group exercise classes and general tidiness of the department.
You will need excellent communication skills, to support patients to undertake prescribed physical rehabilitation programmes and to be able to motivate and persuade patients to overcome barriers to physical activity and promotehealthy lifestyle choices.
You will also be responsible for your own documentation using Trust software and complete administration tasks as required.

Main duties of the job
Your duties will include:
- Providing skilled and specific physiotherapy support to treat and promote the independence of patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
- Carrying out a programme of treatment prescribed by the Physiotherapists. This can include the supervision ofpatients individually, in the gymnasium or other group settings.
- Being responsible for housekeeping tasks including monitoring, maintaining and cleaning physiotherapy equipmentand general tidiness of the department.
- Being responsible for own documentation using Trust software and administration tasks as required.
This job is based between Sevenoaks Hospital and Tonbridge Cottage Hospital. You will also be required to workacross additional sites dependent on service need; The Churchill Centre, Aylesford and West View Integrated Care Centre,Tenterden. Therefore, driving is essential to the role.
