We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Deputy Chief AHP Officer to join our professional team.

This is a developmental post with planned competencies that the post holder will be supported to work through over the course of 18 months in order to deliver the full remit of the Deputy Chief AHP Officer position.

With this in mind as part of the selection process for this position you will be asked to complete two other activities in addition to the competency-based interview that you will invited to. This extended selection process is designed to assess your management style and the specific details of the exercises will be given if you are successfully shortlisted.

The provisional date of the stakeholder event is 30 June 2025, although this may be subject to change.

Main duties of the job

The Deputy Chief Allied Health Professions Officer (DCAHPO) will be responsible for the successful contribution of AHPs to the Trust's strategic priorities, leading key projects and deliverables including thetransformation of the Trust's immediate care offer, strategic review of in and out of hospital rehabilitation and reablement pathways, clinical productivity programme, AHP quality and safety agenda and strategicAHP workforce planning.

Essential

  • HCPC registration as a relevant Allied Health Professional
  • Highly specialist, advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of a range of AHP procedures acquired through a doctorate or equivalent relevant experience, plus further significant in-depth continuous professional development eg Masters level education and additional relevant training and qualifications
  • Management qualification or completion of senior level leadership programme

Desirable

  • Quality improvement training and/or qualification

Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive, successful track record of leadership and achievement at senior AHP level working within health or care settings
  • Significant experience of leading and effectively managing change in large, complex environments with a range of key stakeholders
