The Physiotherapist apprenticeship is a new and innovative route to 'Learn while you Earn' and combines 4 years of clinical employment, work based learning, and academic learning.

During the apprenticeship you will develop skills and knowledge that will allow you to work in today's dynamic and changing healthcare environment. Whilst you will be based in one specific team, your placements will give you a variety oflearning environments working across both internal and external clinical placements to gain an appreciation of thedifferent areas of the local healthcare service.

As an apprentice you'll have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge, skills and experience during placements across the trust and be provided with dedicated time to study for a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy in conjunction withUniversity of Brighton.

Once you have completed all the requirements for registration as a qualified Physiotherapist, you will become a Band 5 Physiotherapist within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

We are recruiting for a Physiotherapy Apprentice role in one of our Community Rehabilitation Teams.

Therapy intervention is provided to adults with a range of conditions including people with orthopaedic, musculoskeletal,neurological and other rehabilitation needs, as well as amputees, and complex frailty and those at risk of falling. With thepurpose of delivering therapy to patients who are unable to access outpatient services.

Patients are assessed, have their own personalised goals set, and their evidence-based treatment delivered in their own homes. Staff provide support and information to patients, families and all agencies involved in the patients' care,striving to achieve the best outcomes for the individuals we treat to ensure they achieve their full potential and thegreatest level of functional independence possible.

The Service covers a wide geographical area across Maidstone, Malling, Cranbrook and surrounding villages.
