Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our cohesive and dynamic team working in Swale Minor Injury/Urgent Treatment Centres.

Our unit covers two sites, Sittingbourne and Sheppey, and you will have the opportunity to work at both sites.

We see and treat patients with a range of injuries and some minor ailments, your role would be to support the registered practitioners.

This is a satisfying and sometimes challenging role, but each day is different and it's certainly never boring!

If you have an NVQ Level 3 in Health Care, are kind, compassionate, an upstander and a strong team player and have the required essential skills, then this may be the job for you!

Full or Part time hours will be considered.

Main duties of the job

Your main responsibilities in this role include:

o Assisting patients,

o Recording observations

o ECG recording

o Documentation

o Suturing

o Plastering

o Wound care

o Ordering stock etc

In house training is provided for specialist skills.

  • Completed level 3 NVQ in health or equivalent A willingness to undertake relevant courses / training. Basic Life Support certificate for adults and children I.T experience Knowledge of Safeguarding Adults/Children

Desirable

  • Tissue Viability experience Proof of extended competencies within the role
