Job summary

We have an exciting 12 month opportunity in our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team for a dynamic and enthusiastic Band 5 Physiotherapist orExercise Physiologist based in our Whitstable Team.

Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation teams provide valuable services across East Kent and DGS (Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley) localities.This is a skilled post with the expectation that you will utilise your clinical knowledge to assess and treat patients with chronic respiratoryconditions in a community setting. Your input into this service will allow patients to improve their functional ability and breathlessnessmanagement to make a tangible difference to their quality of life. The team are now also integral to providing a rehabilitation service tothose patients recovering from Covid-19 and demonstrating signs of Long-Covid.

Main duties of the job

As a member of our team we will ensure that you have the opportunity to strengthen and develop your clinical skills. You will be anintegral part of a team including a Band 7 and 6 Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistant Practitioners and supported by an admin team todeliver a high quality service.

You will play a key part in engagement with integrated accountable care organisations. The Pulmonary Rehabilitation service is currentlyworking with different care providers in Kent and continues to develop the respiratory pathway and the service to serve the localpopulation.

The service provides regular in-service training, clinical supervision, protected CPD time, and input into local clinical interest groups. We encourage staff to develop and provide training opportunities internally and externally as identified during the annual appraisal process. The Trust has also achieved Foundation Trust Status and rated as 'Outstanding' by CQC. The service is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians, being the first team in the area to achieve this status.

We welcome applications from band 5 Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists looking to specialise into chronic respiratory disease management where you will be supported to develop your knowledge and skills. Driving or access to transport is also essential for this post.

There is an option of hours from a minimum of 22.5 hours up to a maximum of 37.5 hours

Additional Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per day
