Main duties of the job

Could you use your skills and experience to support the NHS to deliver great patient care?

Wednesday and Friday 7.5 hours per day

  • Diploma in Dental Therapy
  • GDC Registered Dental Therapist with post qualification in extended skills to allow the administration of inferior dental blocks
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

Desirable

  • Dental Sedation Qualification

Experience

Essential

  • A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience delivering high quality clinical standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - ability to use tact, diplomacy and empathy
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Good organisational skills & ability to prioritise
  • Proven ability to work within a team and to work under own initiative.
  • Computer literate

Desirable

  • Experience working in a community dental service setting
  • Experience of treating patients under sedation
  • Experience of using the SOEL Health dental application or similar dental application

  • In depth understanding of Oral Health
  • Knowledge of Delivering Better Oral Health, The Toolkit, 3rd edition, to enable giving advice and application of evidence informed actions as part of consistent messages provided by the dental team
