Our Community Nursing Team in Tunbridge Wells are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Nurse Associate to join us on a full time basis.

Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nursing Associate you will support the provision of holistic, person centred care and support people across their lifespan and in a variety of settings. You'll work according to the 'NMC Code: Professional standards of practice and behaviour for Nurses, Midwives and Nursing Associates'.

In this role you will:

  • Recognise and work within the limits of competencies as defined by the NMC standards.
  • Recognise changes in patients' conditions which may require the intervention of others and ensure that timely referrals are made or escalation procedures are followed
  • Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that encourage them to live healthily and apply principles of self-care, utilising evidence based electronic and other information resources as appropriate
  • Ensure that high standards of nursing care are maintained and takeappropriate action when standards are not being maintained
  • Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that encourage them to live healthily and apply principles of self-care, utilising evidence based electronic and other information resources as appropriate
  • Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring that any barriers to patients' opinions and wishes are challenged and patients' dignity maintained.
