Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for aDental Administrator/Receptionistwithin our Community Dental Services.

Our community Dental service provides a full range of community dentistry for those patients who are unable to access NHS dentistry locally, requiring specialist intervention or needing a home visit. The services range from community dentistry, prison dentistry and one general practice. We operate these services from 19 sites and 2 mobile dental units within the East of Kent, inner and outer North East London.

Main duties of the job

As a Dental Administrator you will need to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of wait times and recommendations and ensure requests are processed within these targets. You will be responsible for the management of clinic diaries and adhere to best practice and guidelines.

You will act as a first point of contact for enquires by telephone, email and face to face, liaising with colleagues in other teams, services and directorates and assessing, resolving and escalating team issues.

In addition, you will ensure the team operates effectively by undertaking comprehensive administrative tasks, such as handling team correspondence, scheduling appointments, clinics and meetings, managingagendas, diary management for the team, task related problem solving, maintaining stock of equipment and supplies and completion of standard forms, surveys and audits.

Additional Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:45 to 16:45
