Main duties of the job
This is a new full-time substantive post for a Specialist Doctor in Sexual and Reproductive Health. You will be based at our new purpose-built sexual health clinic opening this year in Margate, and will be expected to provide advice and virtual support to sexual health staff in east Kent, and to work in our sexual health hub clinic in Canterbury one day a week.
You'll join an enthusiastic team providing integrated sexual health services including GUM, HIV, SRH and psychosexual therapy services to the population of east Kent and Medway.
You'll provide sound clinical judgement and leadership to support our team to safely deliver patient-centred care, and consistently monitor quality and progress in a challenging but rewarding environment.
We are a consultant-led team of sexual health clinicians which offers high-quality, confidential sexual health services. We provide integrated sexual health clinics across East Kent (including Swale) and Medway including screening and treatment for sexual transmitted infections; contraception including long acting reversible contraception; outpatient HIV treatment and care services; young people's services and sexual health promotion.
We support pharmacies that are providing free emergency hormonal contraception to under 30-year olds in Kent and Medway and the delivery of the National Chlamydia Screening Programme in Medway which provides opportunistic screening to under 25 years old.

- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
- Membership of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health (MFSRH)
- Faculty Registered Trainer (FRT) or meets eligibility criteria to become one
- DFSRH and Letters of Competence in sub-dermal implants & intrauterine techniques
Desirable
- STIF Intermediate and / or STIF Advanced Competency
- Diploma in GU Medicine
- Formal qualification in ultrasound scanning,either from the FSRH or RCOG
