Are you passionate about health and willing to help others live a healthier lifestyle?One You Lifestyle Advisers work in their local communities and help people who need a bit of extra support to make changes that will lead to a healthier lifestyle. They providepracical support on a range of issues, including healthy eating, exercise, emotional well-being and advice on using local services (accessing benefits, signposting tohousing/debt/advocacy support).We need enthusiastic and resilient people to join our team! You don't need any formal specialist qualifications, but you must be passionate about health, keen to learn about yourlocality and have excellent communication skills.You will be seeing people from different backgrounds including those from the most deprived areas of Kent. You must be compassionate and non-judgemental towards others.In this role you will be encouraged to engage in formal and informal learning that will help you develop your expertise. Being aspirational and committed to ongoing developmentis vital in this role.This post is a part-time position (30hrs contract) covering Ashford, its surrounding areas and Romney Marsh. The applicant must be able to work Tuesdays and Fridays and travel tovarious locations.Please note: we will be conducting interviews virtually using Microsoft Teams. Main duties of the job

One YOU Lifestyle Advisers are expected to:

  • Be kind, responsive, professional and informative
  • Provide quality advice and guidance on lifestyles/health improvement to support goal setting and self-management within the scope of expertise
  • Undertake and report on a delegated variety of clinical intervention tasks after achieving appropriate competencies e.g. Health MOTs including height, weight, and blood pressure measurements.
  • Contribute to the ongoing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of delegated caseload
  • Record all outcomes on the appropriate systems seeking the support of senior/specialist staff as required
  • Manage their calendar and appointments autonomously
  • Attend promotional events to engage with local community

Additional Working Pattern: Must be available to work Tuesday and Friday
