Job summary

Bank Nursing Associate South, Central, North and Hub Team

We are looking for a dynamic Nurse Associate to join our 0-19 team in Cheshire East. This role will focus on providing high quality, care for the Childrens and families within our local population.

Main duties of the job

To contribute to the provision of care for Children, young people and their Families including those with complex needs. To understand the roles of a range of professionals and carers from other organisations and settings who maybe participating in the care of a person and their family, and their responsibilities in relation to communication and collaboration.

The role requires the ability to be flexible and adaptable whilst working in people's homes and other community settings.

Qualifications & Professional Training

Essential

  • Registered Nursing Associate on NMC register
  • Nursing Associate Foundation Degree
  • GCSE Grade A-C Maths and English or skills level 2 Maths and English or equivalent.

Experience & Knowledge

Essential

  • Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
  • Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates.
  • Understand requirements for NMC professional Revalidation
  • An understanding of the presentations of multiple pathology, depression and anxiety states and frailty, predominantly in older people.
  • Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice
  • Understand the importance of following procedures and treatment plans
  • Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate
  • Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information
  • Knowledge of a broad range of conditions experienced by patients in community and general practice settings. This will include Long Term Conditions, and common mental illnesses, frailty and palliative and end of life care.
