Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for part time Senior Nurse Clinician's to work as permanent integral members of our GP Out of Hours Team.
We are looking for candidates with strong clinical skills and experience and who are patient and team focused. The successful candidate will show they are willing to support innovation, and are committed to service improvement in an extremely interesting, and challenging environment, which treats both adult and paediatric patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holders will be competent in practice using their clinical knowledge and skills. The post holders will provide an opportunity for patients to recieve timely care and negate unnecessary delay in receiving treatment and without the need to refer to a GP.
The post holders are autonomous in making decisions based on assessment and diagnosis and must be able to independently prescribe medication and evaluate care

- Relevant HCP qualification (e.g RGN/HCPC)
- Masters (or part of) in advanced practice, or working towards it.
- Independent Prescriber
- Experience of working in an Urgent Primary Care setting in either the in or out of hours period
Desirable
- Experience in end-of-life care
- Experience of working in Paediatrics
Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- Aware of the importance of, and application of evidence-based practice.
- Experience in managing primary care cases independently
- Evidence of relevant continuing professional development
- Experience in clinical audit and evaluation of cases and risk assessment
- Experience in independently assessing and managing clinical risk

- Minimum of 3 years Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner Studies within clinical field.
- Interpretation of Blood results relevant to Primary Care
