Job summary
You will be responsible for direct delivery of therapeutic occupational and physiotherapy activities for people with a diagnosis of organic mental health illness and associated problems related to the Aging process, in particular, Dementia, Challenging Behaviours' and Physical Disabilities.
You will carry out all relevant forms of care in support of and supervised/directed by a Registered Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist and will support the therapy and nursing teams in the implementation and delivery of high standards of patient care promoting patient wellbeing following a 'Person-Centred Approach'.
Main duties of the job
You will work under the guidance and direction of registered staff to assess the social, psychological needs of patients by undertaking designated assessments in activities of daily living, cognition and mood.
This is primarily within the ward but could be in community settings (home) as appropriate.

- Undertake programmes of personal care duties for patients, consistent with their agreed plan of care; whilst maintaining/promoting independence, privacy and dignity
