Job summary

Creswell and Langwith Medical Centre is looking to recruit a GP to join our friendly practice team for up to 8 sessions per week.

Creswell and Langwith Medical Centre offers excellent consulting rooms that are well-equipped, spacious and comfortable.

The surgery serves approximately 5,500 patients in Creswell, Langwith and the surrounding areas.

The practice is rated good by the CQC and performs well against QOF and the GP Patient Survey.

INTERNATIONAL GRADUATES MUST BE ON THE GP SPECIALIST LIST AS WELL AS ON THE GMC REGISTER.

Main duties of the job

Providing a portfolio of general medical services; including managing a caseload, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

To support the Lead Clinician and Practice Team to manage a busy and interesting clinical caseload. You will have the opportunity to take part in leading on key disease areas and assist in developing appropriate healthcare services for a diverse patient list.

Working collaboratively to support the Lead Clinician and Practice Team to manage a busy and interesting clinical caseload.

To lead on key areas within the practice, such as specific QOF domains, quality standards, and practice initiatives, as agreed with the Clinical Lead and/or Practice Manager.

Supporting the extended access service.

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.

Creswell and Langwith Medical Centre is a part of Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust (DCHS).

DCHS operates a group of surgeries under it's General Practice Service, and provides a supportive environment for GPs.

As part of the Trust we are able to support with Tier 2 sponsorship/visas.
