We are looking for an established Lead Nurse who is wanting a new challenge or a senior Nurse looking to progress their career.

The ideal candidate must be a Registered Nurse, with experience of managing staff, have a prescribing qualification (or willing to undertake) or have community nursing experience within Band 6/Senior Band 5 role.

This clinical Nurse Lead role will be to support and develop quality patient standards across the Derbyshire Dales locality by identifying opportunities to ensure that our teams provide well-led, caring, safe, efficient and effective care.
The clinic sites are Newholme Hospital, Bakewell 9-5 Monday-Friday and St Oswald's Hospital, Ashbourne 9-5 Monday-Friday. We are looking to open weekend clinics at Whitworth Hospital from April 2024.
Main duties of the job
Provide high quality evidenced based patient care.
Manage caseloads effectively and efficiently.
Provide operational management for immediate team, including attendance management, recruitment, performance issues, supervision, and appraisals.
Support your team through changes and developments.
Act as a champion for the wound clinic service area as required.
Be aware of current local and national issues which are influencing services.
Facilitate, develop, evaluate and share good working practice.
Ensure teams are informed through regular staff meetings using a variety of communication techniques.
Provide learning opportunities and experiences for team members and others, promoting a positive learning environment with a particular awareness of the needs of staff new to the Wound Clinic setting.
Participate in service development and audit as required especially evidencing wound healing rates within the clinic environment.
Actively support the development of a culture that is open to change and innovation.
Provide highly specialized nursing care to individuals with complex needs making use of current evidence to inform the delivery and promote the development of clinically effective care.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.
During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.
