Job summary

We are looking for Sexual Health Improvement Outreach Worker to join our sexual health team. This role will play a key role in:

Developing opportunities to deliver universal outreach across Derbyshire and Derby city aimed at improving the sexual health of our communities.

Delivering relationships and sexual health educations (RSE), community STI screening, awareness raising events, and using our health prevention outreach van.

Working as part of our friendly and passionate team to improve accessibility to sexual health services

A background in community health initiatives is desirable, but no former experience of sexual health is needed, we will provide full training, support and supervision.

Main duties of the job

  • Delivering education, support and awareness raising sessions within community settings such as schools, colleges, festivals and events
  • Delivering community STI and HIV screening within community settings
  • Developing opportunities for you and your wider outreach team to deliver, through ongoing networking and liaising with our multi-agency professionals across the locality
  • Maintaining the high reputation of DCHS Sexual Health Services through maintaining a professional, approachable and informed approach.

  • Experience of working with young people
