We currently have an opportunity for a Digital Marketer Apprentice to join our new marketing and communications team in the Health, Wellbeing & Inclusion (HWI) division at DCHS NHS Foundation Trust, rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The services within the division include; integrated sexual health services, childrens 0-19 services, health psychology, GPs and oral health promotion.

Main location;Chesterfield/ Derby (with travel across sites/ and a requirement for agile working at different bases as required)

Hours;37.5 hours per week (there may be some evening and/or weekend work)

Duration; 18-month contract

Main duties of the job

This apprenticeship role is a fantastic opportunity to support the HWI marketing and communications team, whilst gaining a Digital Marketer Level 3 apprenticeship, qualification. You will gain on-the-job experience, training and 20% off the job learning.

This role will be integral in delivering our HWI marketing and communication priorities, accurately and on time.

You will need to be organised, enthusiastic, have a positive work ethic, be keen to learn and able to work independently and within a team.

You will be required to prioritise tasks appropriately and be able to build relationships with a wide variety of people, internally and externally to the organisation.

You will receive support and advice to gain a wide range of experiences, skills, supervision and mentoring from the team throughout the post, as well as additional support from a dedicated apprenticeship team.

About us

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in peoples own homes and via virtual consultations.

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.

The contract length is for 18 months and the apprenticeship salary on commencement is £8,385; after 12 months in post this will increase to the National Minimum Wage (depending upon your age).

You will support the team in the development of a new patient facing website and produce creative content, including evidence-based digital campaigns, using a variety of channels.

Key responsibilities:

  • To work closely with the Marketing and Communication Officers to contribute to the delivery of the marketing & communications projects/ plans for the Health, Wellbeing & Inclusion division.
  • As directed by the Marketing and Communication Lead; create, deliver, monitor, evaluate and report on the different modes of communication to ensure it meets the divisions needs.
  • Use online platforms to design, build and implement content and campaigns.
  • To undertake any training deemed necessary to meet the duties of the post.
  • Gain an understanding of working to and within marketing and communication budgets.
