Job summary
Are you passionate about the care patients with mental health conditions receive? Would you welcome training to gain insight into mental health conditions and to be a champion for this patient group?
You may want to work on an inpatient setting but find the shift patterns difficult to accommodate around your life outside of work, but this role offers the flexibility in shift times and patterns to make it work.
NCH&C are forming a brand new team to support our Inpatient Wards care for patients with Mental Health diagnosis and concerns.
This team will receive training to enable our Healthcare Support Workers to feel confident they can deliver and cascade the best practice to care for this group of patients.
You will work with our teams in NCH&C, our dedicated Mental Health nurse, patients and their families; to deliver care plans that give the best possible patient experience and outcomes.
And, to support you, you will be able to devise your own working pattern with the team, that does not have to try and fit with the normal clinical shift patterns. You will be based on a "home" ward but be expected to travel to different locations in Norfolk to support teams with patients that need your expertise.
Please note: Previous applicants need not apply.
Main duties of the job
1. To support inpatient teams in geographical locations across Norfolk
2. To accurately and promptly carry out the instructions of the Registered Nurse (RN) who is professionally accountable for the delivery of care.
