Job summary

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Store Co-ordinator to join our Wheelchair Service Team at Norfolk Community Health & Care NHS Trust.The post holder will be responsible for the management of Stores, including the warehouse, goods in and out and stock management of all wheelchairs and spare parts.

Good IT and organisation skills are required for this job.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the warehouse and stores functions of the Wheelchair Repair Service.
  • Be responsible for the efficient, secure and safe running of the Red House Store by devising relevant operational procedures and ensuring they are in place, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all goods in and out of the areas, using the asset database as necessary.
  • Check all deliveries against delivery notes, setting up wheelchairs and equipment in line with manufacturer instructions (using appropriate tools), maintaining accurate records of all delivery notes and entering wheelchair and spare part details on to the asset database, informing admin colleagues when equipment is ready for handover.

Job responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for clinical, technical and admin colleagues with regard to spares and stock, resolving any issues and report any serious concerns to the Wheelchair Repair Team Lead in a timely manner.
  • Using knowledge of wheelchairs within services range, allocate required spare parts to technical colleagues to enable completion of repairs, updating records as required.
  • Encourage refurbishment parts by liaising with colleagues to ensure task is completed.
  • Act as cover for Admin Assistants during unexpected periods of leave, including liaising with patients, clinical and technical colleagues, using the asset database to raise job requests.
  • Act as cover for the Delivery Driver (including assisting with scrap runs) during periods of absence, including the deliver and handover of basic wheelchair equipment.
  • Assist Field Engineers/Wheelchair Repair Team Lead by completing basic wheelchair repairs in the community when required.
