Job summary

Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust are looking for committed and dedicated Apprentices to join their organisation. We currently have an apprenticeship vacancy within Quality and Governance in South Norfolk. As a member of the South Quality Team your role will include assisting in the day to day work of the team, providing support focusing on the delivery of excellent standards of quality care and ensuring robust governance processes are in place. You will support and assist in Quality improvement programmes. This includes working as a team to undertake complaint handling, actioning patient and carer feedback, the monitoring of risks within services, incident administrative support and improvements to quality standards, systems and processes will all be core components of the role.

Main duties of the job

The purpose of this role is to experience and develop skills when supporting the administration of quality and governance agenda with clinical teams.

Supervision and support (direct and indirect) will be provided or available during all tasks. This will enable the apprentice to work within the south quality team and across the south place to gain confidence, experience and build a portfolio of evidence for apprenticeship accreditation.

As a member of the south quality team, you will assist and support the delivery of excellent standards of quality by ensuring robust governance processes are in place within clinical teams. Monitoring and implementing programmes of quality improvement, including complaint handling, patient and carer feedback, and the monitoring of risks and incidents, will all be core components of the role. This will also involve liaising with members of staff across the south and other places, external organisations and members of the public as required.

The Quality team ensure the safety and governance for the South place is a priority across all services. We work in partnership with the operational clinical teams to achieve high standards of care and quality outcomes.

The Quality team consist of 3 clinical and non-clinical staff who work collaboratively to support the South Place teams and work across the wider trust Quality teams.

  • Must be willing to undertake and successfully complete the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Framework within the 20 month contract of employment

Desirable

  • Hold a typing/word processing qualification/ECDL
  • RSA level 1 or equivalent experience
