person to join the existing Tissue Viability Team.
We are looking for a Registered
General Nurse with demonstrable experience with knowledge of
wound care management including accredited courses in tissue viability, and/or
leg ulcer management. Applicants must
have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. As a
Registered Nurse you will be responsible for supporting your manager in
ensuring that our service users needs are met through the delivery of
high-quality care. As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred
approach to their independence and well-being.
The successful applicant will
have the opportunity to develop their existing knowledge working alongside
highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialists promoting high quality patient
centred wound management.

Main duties of the job
To support the Clinical Nurse Specialist for
Tissue Viability in providing an efficient and effective high quality service
Maintain a high standard of patient care in
accordance with NMC Code of Professional Conduct and within Scope of
Professional Practice.
Maintain own clinical and professional
expertise by participating in clinical supervision, professional development
planning and within NMC Code of Conduct and Scope of Professional Practice.

The post holder will be required to support the existing Tissue Viability Nurses in developing a research based approach to Tissue Viability.
Exploring the cost effectiveness of Current treatments and the introduction of new products for the benefit of patient care.

To have an in-depth knowledge and clinical experience in the area of Tissue Viability.
To support the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the development and implementation of evidence based practice and to act as a resource, because of his/her in-depth knowledge and skill in tissue viability.
To collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the implementation of educational programmes to ensure that patients within the CHS receive the best possible and cost effective Tissue Viability care.
Act as a mentor to pre and post registration nurses, allied health professional and unqualified students.
