Job summary
The Successful post
holder be first point of contact at a busy reception, where they will greet
patients, staff, service users. The post holder will be involved in the day to
day running of the reception ensuring that patients are directed to their
appointments in timely manner.
Main duties of the job
The Successful Candidate will work on the main
reception desk, where patients arrive for their appointments for all community departments
within Widnes HCRC and the UTC. Duties will include arriving patients on the
booking system, booking/amending appointments, booking follow up appointments
including for fractures on the hospital systems. Answering Emails, dealing with
daily tasks and queries, liaising with patients and clinicians both face to
face and over the telephone. They will also cover the general duties of a busy
reception. This can be a challenging role at times.
The UTC admin desk is a busy
department which would suit a candidate who enjoys working in a fast -paced
environment.

The role will involve working within a small team
and main duties are;
Collect relevant data / statistics as requested by staff/managers
To
contribute to departments audit activity
To accept deliveries and ensure these are dealt
with promptly;
To maintain appropriate levels of stock.
To undertake delegated duties commensurate with the
banding
To attend local service meetings as and when
directed by Line Manager
Undertake
general office duties (photocopying, laminating, binding etc)
To report any faults, defects or building defects
to the appropriate team
Receive
and deal with telephone calls for the department and taking appropriate action
when necessary.

and carer enquiries, responding to telephone and face to face enquiries in an
efficient, tactful, and professional manner, redirecting calls, taking action
as appropriate.
Liaising with internal and external services and
partner agencies, when necessary, as directed.
To have excellent communication skills and the

sorting, distribution and dispatch of post
Deal
