Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a Business Admin
Apprentice to support our OCATS Service who are based at Warrington Wolves
Stadium.
The successful candidate will study for a level 3
Business Admin qualification whilst earning a salary, learning on the job and
benefitting from the support on offer here at Bridgewater.
A business administration apprenticeship is a
great way to enter the NHS workforce and learn about the sector whilst
developing key transferable knowledge and skills. If you are looking to start a
career or interested in a career change this apprenticeship opportunity could
be for you.
The Business Administration apprenticeship is a
12-18month programme, this is a full time role and the successful candidate will be paid Agenda for Change Band 2 salary. Completion of the apprenticeship
is a condition of employment for this post. Upon successful completion of the
apprenticeship programme, the post holder will progress to a Band 3 Administrator
role in the Organisation.
Applicants will need to be able to either evidence
prior achievement of GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4-5 or above or
equivalent Level2 English and Maths qualifications OR evidence ability
and willingness to achieve these qualifications as part of the apprenticeship.

Main duties of the job
Apprentices will spend some of their paid
working hours attending classroom-based teaching at Warrington & Vale Royal
College and receive support from the college and the Trust to develop the
knowledge, skills and behaviors required for the job role.
NHS administrative staff provide business
support to clinical and non-clinical staff.
The NHS must be well-organised and keep detailed
records of patients and staff. At Bridgewater our business administration staff
are critical in supporting us to deliver high quality care to our patients. The
nature of the role would suit individuals who already have a level of digital
confidence and are interested in applying that to the workplace.

The apprentice will

Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT).
Duties will include
communicating effectively with staff, patients, and other departments,
answering telephone calls, data input, producing documents, filing and
archiving.
The following are an exampleof the duties the apprentice may
undertake, duties will vary depending on the needs of the department in which
the apprentice is deployed.Training and support will be provided:
To provide administrative support i.e. filing, scanning, photocopying and
basic typing tasks.
Accurately input, retrieve and collect data and information using the
Departmental
and Trust computer systems.
Deal with face to face and telephone enquiries, convey messages and
transfer calls as necessary whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.
To be responsible for receiving and processing outgoing mail, incoming
and outgoing telephone calls in accordance with Trust Policies.
To communicate effectively and liaise with other professionals in a
clear, concise
and professional manor.
Liaise with other agencies, departments and official bodies to assist
in providing a high quality and efficient service, sharing information as
appropriate.
To act as an ambassador for the department and promote its services.
