Job summary
This is an exciting post that offers the opportunity for an individual who is passionate about quality improvement and working with clinical teams to improve services within our Childrens Directorate. Someone who wants to support the directorate to work in partnership to improve health inequalities and outcomes for the children and families we serve.
The Professional Lead (Children) will lead the development of initiatives within the organisation to support workforce priorities across the profession specific clinical workforce.
This is a key role for the trust to ensure the Nursing and AHP strategy are progressed and delivered.
The post holder will provide expertise and clinical leadership to ensure the highest possible standards of clinical care are delivered and the Trust clinical and quality strategies are implemented across the Trust.

Main duties of the job
- Support the provision of high quality, safe effective and person-centred care delivering continuous improvement of the patient experience by providing clinical leadership.
- Contribute to the development of directorate strategies and lead their implementation through staff development and establishing, communicating, and monitoring standards for practice.
- Support the Senior Nursing and Governance leads within the Trust in implementation of a safe and learning culture in the organisation, learning from clinical incidents and in line with the introduction of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework.
- Responsible for working with profession specific group and Directorate to support clinical teams to evidence quality in alignment with the CQC single assessment framework and be a core member of the quality visit assurance process in the trust.
- Provide expertise and advice on corporate policies which relate to clinical services, or involve enablers that need to be taken into account in delivering in specialist areas, where they would be expected to advise on how best to proceed.
- Oversee the adaptation of local and national care pathways, supporting the development and implementation at clinical level.
