Job summary
The Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service (LMWS) partnership is proud to unite some of Leeds most prominent mental health providers, each bringing extensive expertise and experience in delivering health and wellbeing services. The service aims to truly integrate primary care and psychological therapies alongside a range of third sector partners in order to meet the diverse needs of the people of Leeds. Our services are available for those aged 17+ who are registered with a Leeds GP. The post holder will work within the psychological therapies part of the service, assessing suitability for Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and then delivering IPT to suitable patients where depression has been identified. There are full or part time posts available. As a service we offer a hybrid approach to working so some flexibility in working patterns may be available as we strive to provide therapies which fit in with the often-busy lives of clients and for you to achieve a better work life balance.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need to be a qualified IPT Practitioner. We are looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm, strong commitment to providing high quality care and a high level of skills and experience. You will be able to work independently within clinics and also work well as part of a team. A resilient person, you will also be organised and able to manage competing demands on your time. You will be committed to personal and professional development and being qualified as an IPT Supervisor would be desirable. As an IPT therapist, you will be responsible for your own caseload of IPT clients, working as an autonomous practitioner within clinics and remotely. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating patient centred programmes of care to a specialist level. You will be experienced in managing clinical risk within the therapeutic process.
