Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for an Operational Head of
Service to join and further develop the Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service (LMWS).
LMWS is a combined service which includes Leeds IAPT and the Primary Care
Mental Health Service together with broader mental well-being support services
based in primary care settings. The post is for the Operational Lead for the
IAPT Therapy part of the service.
Main duties of the job
- Operational
management of staff
- Manage delegated budget for the service
- Provide assurance reports for service performance
- Explore new opportunities for collaborative working across the system

The
service is delivered as a progressive partnership of NHS and third sector providers
which comprises of Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, and Leeds & York
Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, together with Community Links, Northpoint
Wellbeing, Touchstone, Womens Counselling and Therapy Service and Home-Start
Leeds.
The service includes CBT Therapists, EMDR Therapists, Counsellors, Mental
Health Practitioners and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and trainee
practitioners.
Interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy ( CBT) Interpersonal
Therapy for Depression ( IPT ) Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing
(EMDR) Counselling for Depression, Silvercloud, Guided Self Help and Groupwork
both face to face and virtually, form key parts of the therapeutic service.
This is an exciting opportunity in which the successful candidate will be a
pivotal part to the Leeds Mental Health Pathway, bringing together a nationally
driven Transformation Project with positive Locally Driven Outcomes.
