Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for community nurses who are passionate about providing the best possible community care to join our team in the Community Intravenous Administration Service (CIVAS). The CIVAS service provides intravenous antimicrobials, diuretics and antivirals to patients across the Leeds district at home and in clinic. We work with partners in local hospitals, virtual wards and in specialist services. The service consists of senior nurses, staff nurses, clinical support workers and an operational lead.

Main duties of the job

No two days are the same and as part of the team you will provide holistic nursing care; complete daily assessments; administer IV therapies; obtain blood samples; insert peripheral venous cannulas and provide care and maintenance of vascular access devices. Community and clinic experience is not essential as you can expect full training and a support programme with ongoing opportunities for learning and development and regular clinical supervision. We can offer the flexibility of part-time or full-time hours.

You must be a registered nurse with excellent communication skills. You will enjoy using your initiative and providing support to colleagues within the team. As this is a community post you will work across the Leeds district. You must have a valid driving licence and access to an appropriate vehicle.
