Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Leeds Community CAMHS, for an enthusiastic Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. The successful candidate will be passionate about working collaboratively with children, their families and with partner agencies, to promote the best possible outcomes for children and families in Leeds.

The successful candidate will offer specialist psychodynamic and psychoanalytic assessments, consultations and interventions to children and adolescents, their families and groups, as part of the Leeds Children & Young People's Mental Therapy Team. They will work alongside the Professional Lead/Consultant Psychotherapist and Group Analyst to provide a range of therapeutic interventions. Applicants must be registered with the Association Of Child & Adolescent Psychotherapists.

Main duties of the job

You will be autonomously responsible for assessing and delivering interventions to young people and their families/ carers in relation to a range of highly complex difficulties. You will need to have a flexible approach and be able to deliver therapeutic interventions and appointments face to face and via digital platforms as appropriate to the service user.

Leeds is a vibrant, ethnically culturally and socio-economically diverse city. The successful candidate will have to demonstrate how they routinely address these issues in their work. You will also be responsible for some clinical supervision. You will be part of the wider CAMHS team and as such will also be responsible for wider clinical duties/responsibilities.
