We have an exciting opportunity to join the Leeds CAMHS Eating Disorders team as a Senior Clinician. We are a citywide multidisciplinary team from a range of backgrounds, including psychiatry, nursing, psychology, paediatrics, social work, dietetics and occupational therapy. We are looking for an individual with experience of working in an eating disorder services. You will have exceptional skills, knowledge and share our enthusiasm for working with children and young people to join our team. We provide specialist assessment and intervention for young people and their families up to the age of 18. We are exploring innovative ways of working through the development of new treatment pathways and are committed to going beyond expectations in engaging and supporting our families and young people. You must have a professional qualification and registration as detailed in the specification. We would also welcome applications from NMP.
Main duties of the job
As a senior clinician you will provide leadership and clinical experience to the team, your duties will include:
Supporting young people and families with complex assessment, considering physical, emotional and psychological needs.
Delivery of treatment pathways including FT-AN, Mantra as a core treatment as well as CBT-E and individualised therapies to point of discharge. Training will be provided
Work closely with colleagues in CAMHS, schools and local medical services.
Be responsible for ensuring a close working relationship and effective communication with partner services delivering inpatient services .
Have the opportunity to lead projects and support the development of clinics .
Support the Clinical Team Manager in the day-to-day management of the team.
Support junior staff, provide regular supervision and training both within and outside the service.
