Job summary

Leeds Community Healthcare (LCH) have an exciting opportunity to join our Trust, as Associate Director of Digital Transformation. LCH have a strong track record of delivering high quality patient care, that is financially sustainable. You will lead in the development and drive to deliver the Trusts Digital strategy, ensuring this facilitates and maximises capability and productivity at all levels throughout the organisation. In addition you will lead on the development of a modern and future focussed Digital and Informatics systems agenda, maximising the benefit from innovative systems and developing a strategy to ensure the Trust stays at the leading edge of the use of informatics. As a member of Trusts Leadership Team you will lead on the Trusts digital strategic direction, and contribute to the overall transformation agenda.

Main duties of the job

Budget holder responsibility for budget management in line with the Trusts scheme of delegation and managing the Frontline Digitisation capital and revenue funding

Working alongside the existing directorates, develop, maintain, and support the implementation of those elements of the Trusts Digital and Informatics Strategy and the business plan for which the post-holder has the lead responsibility across the organisation

Responsible for providing appropriate professional development and guidance to the senior team and the wider functional teams.

Monitor, interpret and advise on the implications of Digital Informatics legislation and policy developments.

Commission and conduct research into specific areas of digital informatics activity, including technical solutions, data provision, employee engagement, legislation, policy, benchmarking and good practice

Lead on the internal integration of digital systems with business, service and financial planning

Act as one of the Trusts leads on digital systems planning across the wider health and social care systems across the Leeds health economy, West Yorkshire and Yorkshire and The Humber.

Lead the integration and delivery of local and national digital and informatics initiatives

Develop and maintain effective relationships with a range of external organisations, including, NHS England, NHS Digital and NHS Improvement.

Prepare and present reports and papers, including Board papers

Job responsibilities

To deputise for the Executive Director of Finance & Resources as required, providing the necessary level of inspiring leadership, expert professional advice, operational and technical support at Board meetings, when working with the senior management and leadership team or in situations involving networking groups or external organisations such as regulators, professional advisors, staff representative bodies, commissioners, partners, National NHS organisations and the Department of Health.

The post-holder will be responsible for reviewing, identifying and implementing opportunities to improve Digital service delivery, consistency, robustness and effectiveness across the organisation enabling it to become the natural system of choice for clinical and non-clinical staff. The post-holder will be instrumental in pioneering and driving key change initiatives and projects to build a productive, sustainable, fit for purpose digital organisation.

The post holder will play a key strategic role in the delivery of high-quality digital services and will lead on the Trusts Digital Strategy transforming digital services across the Trust, with an initial focus on the National frontline digitisation agenda.

The post holder is a senior leader in the Trust and will exhibit the leadership qualities commensurate with that role, within the Business Intelligence, Clinical Systems, Information Governance and IT teams and across all aspects of the Trusts work.

To succeed in this role, candidates need to be able to build confidence across the Trustas well as with external stakeholders.

To support the Executive Director of Finance & Resources in the development and delivery of the Trusts Digital and Informatics strategy.

To deputise as required for the Executive Director of Finance & Resources.

To provide exemplar technical and professional support on a wide range of information, clinical systems, technology and data legislation, with a focus on Digital Governance, working alongside Senior Leadership Team within those functions.

To lead on the management and negotiation of digital contracts with system suppliers.

Provide expert strategic advice, strong professional business and operationalsupport to clinical business units and corporate functions, particularly in serviceplanning, and in ensuring the delivery of high quality clinical services.

Develop the leadership potential of all staff.
