fantastic opening has arisen for a motivated and forward-thinking Information
Manager to join the Workforce Systems Team at Leeds Community Healthcare Trust
(LCH). We have ambitious plans to expand our use of data across the Trust and
are looking for a dynamic team player who can transform how we use our
workforce data and systems to solve some of the biggest organisational

Main duties of the job

Job description
Job responsibilities
1.1. To produce accurate and timely information to managers and services in a format that is easily understood and relevant to the decision making process, thereby ensuring that clinicians and managers can measure and monitor and continuously improve performance.
1.2. Develop an understanding of the key information systems used by the Trust, propose developments to ensure that data can be extracted to measure and monitor the required measures and to work in conjunction with the Informatics Team to implement these developments.
1.3. Develop and adapt as necessary information systems to report on key performance indicators to ensure that clinicians and managers can measure and monitor performance
1.4. Co-ordinate regular reporting and statutory returns to external bodies such as the Department of Health and handle queries from external bodies arising from these reports.
1.5. To scrutinise large datasets and identify key trends and patterns within these data.
1.6. Use SQL Server Management Studio to develop queries to extract and analyse information from large and complex data sets.
1.7. Responsible for designing and developing data marts within the data warehouse to ensure there is a suitable data infrastructure to meet the requirements of the Workforce Systems Team so it enables them to deliver ad-hoc queries and dynamic reporting solutions.
1.8. Make the best use of the technology available to develop and deliver reporting to internal stakeholders, including designing and developing web-based reports and reports in conventional software products to deliver reports to their specifications.
1.9. Plan, develop and coordinate the production of a broad range of complex performance reports that meet the needs of the directorate and its customers and also the requirements of commissioners and users, in accordance with the Trust’s planning schedule.
1.10. Utilises highly developed technical knowledge covering the range of analytical techniques, underpinned by relevant broad based knowledge, experience and competence to devise solutions to support the provision of information to the whole of Leeds Community Trust
1.11. Makes complex judgements requiring analysis, interpretation and comparison of options by integrating highly complex knowledge sources in new and/or unfamiliar contexts
1.12. Responsible for the development of customer involvement within services to inform the development of reporting systems and the effective use of information.
