and Development Team at Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust you will support
and facilitate the delivery of research across the organisation and enable
those living in Leeds to participate in innovative important research studies.
We are a
small friendly team, and all members are involved in all aspects of research
capability and capacity assessment, study set up, research delivery, as well as
the dissemination and implementation of research output. Line management will
be provided by a research practitioner.
The post
holder will participate in delivering clinical trials according to current
Governance and Regulatory requirements. Initially, the post holder will support
the delivery of the Alabama Trial [ALlergy AntiBiotics And Microbial resistAnce], working in collaborative
partnership with the Trial team and Primary Care colleagues.
We are recruiting 2 full-time equivalent posts
which are fixed term until the end of March 2023. We are happy to discuss
flexible working arrangements including part time or job share to meet the
needs of the research team and the post holders. We welcome informal enquiries.
Main duties of the job
Post holders
will be responsible for assisting with the screening and recruitment of
participants, the collection and processing of clinical trial data and trial
data management. There is an expectation to work autonomously when required, or
alongside the Research Practitioner, prioritising and managing own workload
independently.
Post holders
will be required to react to and implement change as directed by the line
manager, Principal Investigators or as specified by approved study amendments.
Post holders
will have excellent interpersonal skills. The role will include direct
involvement with patients. Post holders will be required to receive consent for
participation in the Alabama trial by telephone, so must be comfortable talking
to patients in this way.
Knowledge of
computer systems is essential. Experience of using SystmOne is desirable.
Access to
own transport and ability to travel around the Leeds area is an advantage.
The ideal candidate will have experience from
working in a clinical research environment such as NHS, University or in
Industry. An experience of management of research studies within the NHS
including supporting across all aspects of study delivery and closedown would
be beneficial.
Post holder should be Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
trained and be willing to undertake additional training as required.

The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of an effective administration support service to a specified project with Leeds Community Healthcare. They will prioritise and manage there own workload independently but will react to and implement change as directed by the line manager. Key Responsibilities: 1.1 To be responsible for the day to day delivery of project support, including assisting in the development of project plans, working with stakeholders on implementation and evaluation. 1.2 Support the development and implementation of the project through timely and relevant information analysis and administrative support, in accordance with the agreed priorities of the Team. 1.3 Ensure effective communication is maintained across the project team and end users whilst acting as the first point of contact for enquiries in relation to the project.
