Leeds
Community Healthcare NHS Trust are offering an exciting opportunity for a Band
5 Registered Nurse to work as a Neighbourhood Team Clinical Skills and
Competency Facilitator. This new role will help support the delivery of an
established bespoke clinical education programme for healthcare support workers
and registered nurses in the adult business unit. You will work alongside
experienced Clinical Skills and Competency Educators to deliver a blended
skills theory practice training programme.
The role is suitable for registered nurses with an interest in clinical skills
education and offers an exciting development opportunity to gain presentation
and teaching skills. If you want to develop your clinical teaching skills and you

Main duties of the job
The
role of Neighbourhood Team Clinical Skills and Competency Facilitator supports
the delivery of evidence based skills training to primarily new and existing
healthcare support workers and registered nurses. A level of clinical
confidence and competency is required for the role and a willingness to develop
new clinical skills. The theory elements are taught in Morley Health Centre and
occasionally other trust buildings so previous experience of clinical skills
teaching would be useful for the role. The role requires an element of agile
working across Leeds to support skills learning in practice across 13
integrated Neighbourhood Teams. This is a full-time role which may require
working some unsocial hours depending on service need.
