Job summary
We are seeking enthusiastic individual to join our Safety Team on a full-time basis, although we welcome applicants who would like to do 2 or 3 days a week as part of a job share.
If you enjoy a hands-on operational approach to keeping people safe, then this could be the role for you.
This is a great opportunity for developing your skills, knowledge and experience in Health and Safety.
Based at White Rose Park, but with travel across Leeds and potentially some further reaching geographical areas where staff are based, a full driving licence and access to a car are essential.
You will be able to work autonomously and possess good organisation and communication skills (verbal, written and presenting).
You will have experience of manipulating data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
You will also be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and be able to use software for recording and tracking inspection and audit findings.
You will possess NEBOSH general certificate.
Main duties of the job
The role will include
- Monitoring and responding to queries and requests for assistance Undertaking and recording premise inspections; raising, assigning and tracking actions on our software.
- Identifying potential hazards and risks within a variety of working environments
- Assisting and documenting risk assessments
- Undertaking first aid needs analysis
- Undertaking Display Screen Equipment assessments, making recommendations for further action as required
- Assisting in accident and incident investigation and compliance audits
- Manipulating data to identify trends and aid analysis.
- Delivering presentations and representing the Safety Team at the Welcome event
