If the answer is yes, then we would love to hear from you! An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Specialist Business Unit of Leeds Community HealthCare NHS Trust. We are looking to recruit an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join us in our multidisciplinary team to optimise rehabilitation outcomes and support people back into work. Working across organisational boundaries with health, social care and voluntary sectors and partners, successful candidates will provide personalised, holistic rehabilitation for patients within Leeds to achieve the best clinical outcomes. With regular supervision and training from the clinical team you will be required to develop your knowledge, skills and understanding of Long Covid. We are looking for a full time applicant. This could be as a secondment (following agreement from your substantive manager) or as a fixed term contract. Main duties of the job

You must be able to demonstrate you have an awareness and understanding of treating patients who are experiencing long lasting problems 12 weeks or more after an infection consistent with COVID-19 which are significantly impacting their daily life. You must be able to demonstrate that you have the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team. The role will include working both with people in their homes and in clinics based across the city, as well as delivering treatment virtually with online educational programs and appointments. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable and is able to travel independently across the locality with access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. You should be comfortable with working autonomously whilst also being a good team player. You should also have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Sound IT skills are essential. This role may include supervision of a band 4 Therapy Assistant. This is a city-wide service which operates Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
