Job summary

An exciting and rare opportunity has risen to join our Clinical Education Team as a Manual Handling Trainer within Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust.

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative person to join our growing team of experienced educators in delivering high quality training across Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin.

You will be responsible for training our staff to a high standard to ensure they can safely go out into practice within a community, in-patient and clinic setting across a county wide area

Our manual Handling Trained will need strong communication and delivery skills in the use of equipment and be able to adapt the training to meet the need of the service.

Experience in Manual handling and an understanding of the needs of a community service is essential.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Health Care Professional with demonstrable experience in clinical area
  • Significant moving and handling teaching experience in clinical and community environments and/or recognised patient handling trainer qualification eg, RoSPA Level Award in Safer People Handling Trainers.

  • Experience of assessing risks, reporting and escalating concerns
  • Substantial experience in moving and handling environments
  • Experience of delivering training with an ability to adapt training delivery to suit the audience and responding to unpredictable situations
