We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Children's Physiotherapy team at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust as a Paediatric Physiotherapist Support Worker. This position will work alongside our Physiotherapy Teams in clinic, the community and schools supporting individuals and groups of people to achieve their physiotherapy goals.
You will support the registered clinicians in reviewing the goals of the children and young people (CYP) who use the service, working with the parents/carers and school to ensure the best possible level of care is being provided to the child.
You will develop your skills as part of the physiotherapy team to provide physiotherapy interventions and treatments, overseen by a qualified an experienced Physiotherapist. The role of the Physiotherapy Assistant is to implement the treatment plan outlined by the qualified Physiotherapist, as a band 4 you will be expected to progress therapy programmes within you scope of practice. You will also work alongside a wider multi-disciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Specialist Nurses, Speech and Language Therapists and Doctors.

Main duties of the job
You will assist registered Physiotherapists in their day to day duties support children and young people with a range of difficulties, under the supervision of registered clinicians. The post requires regular travel across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin. You will work with children and young people in education setting (including special schools), in clinics and people's homes.
You will deliver support following guidance and care plans devised by registered clinicians.
