We are inviting applicants to join us in the children's Physiotherapy team to support with service delivery, providing new assessment and follow up interventions for babies and children in the community and helping us to develop our current and new services.

The post holder will take a leading role in assessing and supporting the evolving identification of physical needs of children/ young people. You may have experience in working with children in early years, with long term conditions, MSK, or with respiratory conditions

As a successful applicant you will have highly developed clinical decision-making skills to support children's assessment and care management. You will be confident in working in a flexible and responsive way. You will understand about effective partnership working especially with children and young people, parents and educators.

We will support you through continuing professional development, supervision and line management and peer support.

Main duties of the job

To provide, as an autonomous practitioner assessment, formulation and evidence-based interventions for service users and to refer on to other providers as appropriate.

To work as a member of the community Physiotherapy team and to contribute to its development and function (within the post holders sphere of competence) in any settingrequired by the service.

To develop the post holders own professional practice by keeping abreast of clinical developments and responding to available evidence.

To provide consultation, advice, education and training about Paediatric Physiotherapy within the multi-agency setting in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.
