Job summary
We have implemented Rio, our Electronic Patient Record (EPR), across the majority of our community services and an exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Rio Team within the Digital Services Department.
We are looking for an information professional who will work closely with the rest of the Rio Team, support the Senior Configuration Analyst and Project Managers to develop system functionality and configuration, and provide advice and guidance to all services within the Trust.
The role will be both interesting and challenging, working with other members of the Rio Team, along with supporting clinicians and senior managers in the functionality of Rio.
As part of a close knit team, the successful candidate will be involved in numerous projects and have exposure to multiple systems and technologies.
The role involves handling helpdesk calls, supporting the implementation of Rio into new services, developing new forms and letters, creating SQL 'front-end' reports, and maintaining the existing configuration of the system.
Reporting to the Technical Project Manager within Digital Services Department, the successful candidate will be a confident communicator, able to work directly with a variety of services, and will assist in the provision of Rio system configuration across the Trust.

Main duties of the job
- Support the development and provision of information, via the Electronic PatientRecord, to the Trust and the primary and secondary care commissioning process, continually enhancing and developing the quality and coverage of information provided, and the mechanism/technology by which it is delivered through the adaptation and improvement to the Electronic Patient Record.
- Support the development and maintenance of the Trust's Electronic Patient Record, including the maintenance of data sets (community contacts and configurationreference data). Ensuring that the underlying data is kept up-to-date and developed in line with local and national requirements, and that any problems/issues with the dataare resolved accordingly e.g., undertaking a data cleansing role and comparing data from a variety of sources to ensure quality, consistency and accuracy.
- Provide performance monitoring information on hospital and community based services in response to requests for both regular and ad hoc reports, utilising a wide variety of tools in use for analysis and presentation e.g. Excel (spreadsheets), SQL / Access(databases), Electronic Patient Record, Data Warehouse.
- You will need to have demonstrable knowledge and experience of development within information systems; with working knowledge of some or all of the following; SQL, HTML, XML and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of relational databases, XSLT and CSS would be advantageous
