Job summary

This is an exciting time to join the People Directorate at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust. We are implementing a new rostering system and building our E-rostering team to support this exciting development in our resourcing systems. You will be part of our Resourcing Service in this new team joining our other teams in the service recruitment and temporary staffing.

We are looking to recruit a E-roster Administrator to provide a full and efficient administration support and data quality function in relation to information and rosters stored within the Trust's electronic system (HealthRoster).

You will support in maintaining the E-Rostering system, training provision to new and existing users, and assist in the creation of reports for a variety of audiences.

You will be qualified to NVQ 3 in business administration or have equivalent experience with a track record of delivering an efficient administrative support. You will have excellent customer service skills, experience of working with rosters, entering and maintaining data for large IT systems and of the use of a range of Microsoft packages.

You will be experienced in working with different departments and organisations with all levels of staff, utilising your communication skills.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide a full and efficient system administration support and data quality function in relation to information and rosters stored within the Trust's electronic system (HealthRoster).
  • Be a point of contact for all users of the Trust's E-Rostering system, providing day to day support on all aspects of E-Rostering.
  • The postholder will be a key member of the E-rostering team supporting all associated administration processes in the management and implementation of the Healthroster suite across the Trust.
  • Responsible for inputting data into the electronic rostering system to include setting up new starters, contract variations, processing leavers and preparing data for the payroll interface files.
  • The creation and maintenance of user accounts and system passwords in line with Trust policies.
  • Adding new starters, removing leavers, amending contracted hours and re-assigning postings as requested by team lead, ward sisters and department managers.
  • The application and monitoring of system settings such as shifts, patterns, rules and roster templates to ensure that staff are rostered effectively and in accordance with the Trust E-Roster Policy.
  • To collate, run, manipulate and distribute reports from the electronic rostering and other data sources as required.
  • To respond to email and telephone inquiries from internal and external staff with regards to E-roster and assist where possible or refer them to the E-Rostering training and systems team.
