Job summary
Digital Services is a corporate support service within Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust, encompassing IT, Information and Electronic Patient Record (EPR) support.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our IT Team. We are looking for an innovative and motivated self-starter who will work closely with the rest of the IT Team and Digital Services to provide advice and support as part of the IT Service Desk function.
In order to support our requirements, applicants will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of systems and tools to be able to successfully maintain and develop a corporate IM&T environment, with particular expertise in some or all of the following; networking, cyber-security, ITIL processes, fault-finding and diagnosis of complex IT hardware and software issues.
Flexibility around home and remote working will need to be agreed in advance to ensure the needs of the service are met. An on-site presence is required to support both the infrastructure and Team including travel to multiple sites across Shropshire, Dudley and the Black Country.
Main duties of the job
Providing in association with other members of the IT Division a responsive and client focused service, that delivers high quality IT and associated support services to our clients, both internal and external.
Contribute to the successful delivery of the Organisations objectives whilst following departmental guidelines and organisational policy, working both autonomously and as part of the IT Team e.g. the post holder will be required to act independently within the appropriate guidelines, seeking advice and guidance as required.
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator and be able to relay complex technical information effectively across different levels of our Trust and its partners.

- Educated to relevant Degree level, NVQ5 or Equivalent combination of IM&T knowledge/experience/qualification and a number of years' experience in a similar IM&T environment normally associated with a Degree level qualification.
- Appropriate intermediate vocational short courses e.g., SQL Server, Expertise in Networking, Microsoft SCCM, Wi-Fi.
