Job summary

Shropshire Community Health Trust (ShropCom) is on an exciting trajectory of development and are looking for a dynamic Medical Director or an aspiring medical director to play a key and rewarding role.

Our aim is to provide high quality, innovative health services close to people's homes. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate when it comes to delivering and developing high quality community services for our patients. The ideal candidate will have an abundance of people skills and a real drive to help lead staff and the Trust in meeting the Trusts vision, values, and goals.

With significant experience in a leadership role within a clinical setting you will be a leader in your field ready to take on the challenges and fast paced nature of the role, whilst ensuring the organisation provides safe, high quality, acceptable care for patients/service users.

Main duties of the job

The Medical Director will advise the Board of Directors on medical andrelated clinical issues. As a member of the Executive Team, they willlead the delivery of high-quality patient care and the development anddelivery of integrated clinical governance systems to assure this. Theywill also provide professional leadership to all medical, dental andpharmacy staff, leading and facilitating their engagement in thedevelopment and delivery of the organisation's vision, strategy, andobjectives.
