Job summary
An exciting
opportunity has arisen at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust (SCHT) for a
permanent full time Practice Education Facilitator (PEF). We are seeking a
proactive, dynamic healthcare professional with significant experience in
educating and assessing students to take on this role.
Main duties of the job
The PEF will take the lead for liaising with universities, ICS partners and clinical teams to facilitate placement opportunities for pre-registration nursing and AHP students and trainee nursing associates. The individual will require objectivity and diplomacy in dealing with challenging situations, offering support to action plan when students are struggling in practice.
The Trust supports work experience placements for those considering healthcare careers and the PEF will take an active role in supporting these applications, along with evolving T level placements.
The post holder will lead on preceptorship which is a key component of our drive to support transition from student to registered practitioner and aid retention.

and Integrated Care System professional leads across the health economy to maximise Clinical
Placement capacity
Promote quality assurance of the learning environment, ensuring compliance with educational
audit, monitoring and action planning constructive evaluation feedback from learners and any
concerns raised
Act as primary point of contact for support of students and their educators in resolving placement
related issues, promoting tri-partite communication with HEIs as required
