Job summary
Central London Community Healthcare (CLCH) are now seeking a Bank Staff Nurse
To assist the Ward Manager to provide nursing care to, and support recovery of, patients to meet their rehabilitation goals, focusing on the needs of the patient rather than the illness or condition.The post holder will be responsible for:
o Clinical Dutieso Management and Leadershipo Professionalismo Teaching and Trainingo Clinical Governance
Main duties of the job
- To carry out care within a multidisciplinary team. Being the main point of contact for patients.
- To ensure that an individual programme of care is planned implemented and evaluated.
- To ensure that documentation meets the NMC standards for record keeping
- Make a thorough assessment of the patient's needs according to an agreed model of nursing care and document in accordance with nursing policies.
- Preparing patient care plans.
- Implementing plans of care and reviewing their effectiveness.
- Observing and recording the condition of patients.
- Checking and administering drugs and injections.
- Setting up drips.
- Assisting with tests and evaluations.
- Carrying out routine investigations ie. Testing urine
- Responding quickly to emergencies.
- Organising staff and workloads
- Teaching skills to student and junior nurses.
- Making ethical decisions related to consent and confidentiality
