You will be able to contribute to the creation of what that looks like as well as positively impacting and enhancing the experiences of our patients in Barnet.
You will provide day-to-day clinical care in a supported environment and within a dynamic team. Providing day-to-day professional leadership, you will ensure the needs of patients are placed at the centre of care delivery while providing assurance that standards of clinical care within a designated area is of the highest standard attainable.
Main duties of the job
- Band 6 Specialist Podiatrists are expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services we provide by:
- Setting and maintaining standards of care and deploy, co-ordinate and supervise the Podiatry team and learners as required.
- Providing leadership and management to a team of community podiatrists and other staff covering a specified locality.
- Keeping the people who use our services as safe as possible through the use of sound and up-to-date clinical skills and effective clinical risk assessments adhering to evidence-based policies and procedures
- Ensuring the people using our services have a good experience by respecting, empowering, and working in partnership with people throughout the care planning process.
- She/he is responsible for delegating appropriate duties to qualified and unqualified members of the nursing team throughout the working day and ensuring smooth transition of patient care to the out of hours services if necessary.
- The post holder should ensure that the dignity and religious and cultural beliefs of individual patients and staff members are respected.
- To be responsible for the team's assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualised podiatry care to patients living in the community.
